Together, these guides help you to prepare for a stress-free online notarization session.
When you have read both guides and you're ready to get started, you'll click the "schedule online notarization" button below to choose a convenient time for your session. A notary will then reach out to confirm and discuss payment using the information you provide.
Wait to receive an electronic invoice from the notary. It will either be sent by text to a mobile device or to an email address.
Once payment has been received, the notary will email you an invitation link to the online notarization platform to get the identification verification process started.
* [please note]-Sessions are booked in 1 hour increments. Once you've scheduled your appointment and made payment, there will be just a couple of quick steps to get ready for your remote online notarization session. It typically takes about 15 minutes to complete the verification process, and then you'll be all set to begin. We prioritize your safety and security, and the verification process ensures a smooth and secure online notarization experience for you.
Click the link in your email and follow the prompts to create a free account on our notarization platform's website. You will then be given the opportunity to upload your documents. Alternatively, you can email the documents (to be notarized) to us beforehand so that we can have them ready to go for you.
Provide email addresses for up to two extra people who need to sign or witness the notarization. They, too, will need to follow these steps.
The platform will run a test to make sure your camera, microphone, and speaker work. Follow the prompts when requested.
The signer will need to enter their contact information and the last four digits of their social security number.
The signer will be asked a series of questions about themselves. All answers will need to be answered correctly before the session can begin.
Use a smart phone to scan the QR code to take pictures of the front and back of the signer's identification card.
Immediately after approval of the identification photos, the notary will be notified to begin the session.
