Overview

Nucleus enables your DAO to issue debit cards directly backed by a multi-sig treasury so your DAO can seamlessly spend crypto off-chain. This can be for Marketing, Media, Infrastructure, Development, Events, Legal, and any other business operating expenses.

Your DAO is now registered with Nucleus and you're KYC-ed as well! For subsequent login to the Nucleus app, login here https://app.usenucleus.io/login.

Why do we need to KYC? - It's for regulatory/compliance reasons unfortunately. By law, our bank partner needs to know who's spending in case a card's used for anything illicit. However, we never store this information on our servers and more importantly, don't pass on the wallet address to the bank or other parties in our flow. As such, your on-chain identity (relationship between your wallet and identity) remains private. Any questions on this? Please reach out!

Create a Card

Cards may be issued atop your multi-sig and used to spend crypto in minutes. Cards are associated to a cardholder's wallet address. And, a cardholder may be any KYC-ed DAO member.

Create as many cards as you want! Create a card per guild, team, proposal, project, budget, subscription, event, etc. Fund cards on-demand on an as-you-need basis!

Cards Dashboard

When creating a card, Nucleus will propose a transaction to the connected multi-sig to transfer USDC to a Nucleus-managed escrow wallet to fund the card. USDC from this wallet may be withdrawn back to the multi-sig at any time to reduce the card's available spend.

Issue cards to DAO Members

Other DAO Members may be invited to hold a card. Only a wallet address is required to invite. Members do NOT need to dox themselves to other DOA members!

Cards are tied to a wallet address which is then associated to a KYC. This wallet address authenticates the member and upon login, cards issued to them will appear in their "My Cards" view. Nobody except that wallet address can view those cards' credentials (card number, cvv, etc) and spend using that card.

Card Actions

The following actions can also be taken on cards to control spend

• Fund a card to load addl. USDC from multi-sig to immediately spend

• Withdraw from a card to de-fund card and transfer USDC back to multi-sig

• Cancel a card (card will no longer be active and all USDC will be transferred back to multi-sig)

Using Cards IRL

Add Cards to Apple Pay / Google Pay

To use cards IRL at a Point-Of-Sale, enter card name, number, cvv, and exp. date from Card Details (pictured above) to your Apple Pay / Google Wallet app.

The Card's name is either your individual Name if card's tied to an Unincorporated DAO or the DAO's business name if card's tied to an Incorporated DAO entity.
