As a PowerSchool Administrator, printing reports is a frequent and essential part of your role. Whether you're printing individual student schedules, transcripts, or report cards, this task helps ensure timely communication and documentation for school stakeholders.
This guide walks you through the steps and features of printing reports within PowerSchool, helping you perform tasks with ease and confidence.
Start from the Start Page
Search and select the student whose report you need.
Navigate to Print Options
On the student's page, click Print A Report.
Choose the Report Type
Select from the following sections:
Form Letters: Pre-built letters merging PowerSchool data (cannot include schedules).
Report Cards: Ideal for end-of-term summaries, progress reports, or custom letters.
Object Reports: Used for detailed documents like transcripts, schedules, award certificates. You build these using boxes, lines, logos, and more.
Search for Students
From the Start Page, perform a group search.
Use the Function Menu
Click Print A Report from the Functions menu.
Select Report Type & Customize
Same three report options as above (Form, Report Card, Object Reports). Customize based on group needs.
Batch Settings:
Print all records in a single batch.
Print only the first [#] records.
Print in batches of [#] records.
Current Term β Active Courses Only
Current Term β All Courses (including dropped)
Enrollment as of [specific date]
Use with Object Reports.
Set a custom date range to reflect the correct transactions.
Watermark Text: Choose from pre-set phrases or create your own custom watermark.
Watermark Mode:
Watermark: Text appears behind content.
Overlay: Text appears over the content.
When to Print: Choose when the report should run (now or later).
Report Output Locale: Select the reportβs language (default is English).
After setup, click Submit.
You will be directed to Report Queue (System) β My Jobs.
Reports will be generated and ready for download or printing from here.
