    • Access the File menu.

    • Choose Utilities.

    • Select Host multi-user access.

    • In the Host multi-user access window, click Yes.

    Solution 2: Configure Services

    To make sure that the QuickBooks services are properly set up, follow these steps:

    • Press the Windows key + R.

    • Open the Run dialog.

    • Go to the Log On tab.

    • Choose This Account. Avoid selecting Local System, as it might not be supported in all setups.

    • To delete the existing QBDataServiceUserXX:

      • Press the Windows key + R.

      • Open the Run dialog.

      • Type Control Panel.

      • Press OK.

      • Select User Accounts and then Remove user account.

      • Choose the qbdataserviceuserXX that matches your QuickBooks version and delete it.

    • Restart QuickBooks.

      • If hosting was enabled, disable it and then enable it again. If not enabled, turn the hosting on.

    • When prompted to run Database Server Manager, click OK.

    • Open Database Server Manager. 

    • Scan the file to recreate the qbdataserviceuser.
