Searching for and Applying to QUB Funded Internships

Finding and applying for these internships involves several steps:

1. Research Available Internships: Students should search for QUBINTERN on MyFuture regularly for listings of available internships. Please note there are 8 week and 90 hour internships.

2. Prepare Application Materials: This includes updating your CV and writing a tailored cover letter that highlights relevant skills and experiences (if required).

3. Submit Applications: Follow the specific application guidelines provided for each internship, ensuring all materials are submitted on time. You will only be allowed to apply to 5 QUB Funded Internships (any job with prefix QUBINTERN).

Accepting an Offer

You will receive an email from the system if you have been offered an internship, it’s important to respond appropriately:

1. Evaluate the Offer: Consider the role, the organisation, and how it aligns with your career goals.

2. Communicate Promptly: You will have 7 days from the date of the email to accept/decline the offer. Please see guide below on how to do this.

*You are only allowed to accept 1 offer - if you have accepted an offer and subsequently receive another offer, please decline this.

Completing the required paperwork

Once you accept, you will be required to complete paperwork to ensure payment can be made promptly. Please see below guide to complete the paperwork.
