Setting up a Wireless Network with a Gateway

To create a wireless network for the smart traps at a customer's location, you will need to set up a gateway. The gateway serves as a central hub that receives and transmits data between the traps and EverSmart Alert app. Here's how to set it up:

1. Identify a suitable location for the gateway, most sites with less than 25,000 square feet and no more than 3 floors can be covered with a single gateway. You’ll need access to a mains power supply to plug in the gateway.

2. Unsure that your gateway location has good cell phone coverage? Hint: Look for a location where you have at least 3 bars of coverage on your cell phone.

3. Power on the gateway and wait for it to establish a connection with the network. A successful connection is shown by two solid green lights. Hint: it can take a 2 - 3 minutes to complete the connection.

Once the gateway is set up, it will create a wireless network that the smart traps can join.

Data will start flowing within 24 hours of installing and tagging the gateway and devices.
