Purpose: The Shift Tags feature in Time & Attendance allows organisations to categorise and identify shifts with specific labels or tags. These tags provide quick insights into the nature or requirements of a shift and help streamline reporting, rostering, and communication.

    • Create tags tailored to organisational needs (e.g., ‘Community Access,’ ‘Night Shift,’ ‘Transport Required’).

    • Use colors and emojis for better visual identification.

    • Apply tags to shifts during creation or editing for better organisation.

  • Enhanced Reporting:

    • Use tags for filtering shifts in reports and analysing patterns or trends.

How to Configure Shift Tags

Accessing Shift Tags Settings:

  • Navigate to Time & Attendance > Settings from the side navigation menu.

  • Select Shift Tags.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Create a New Shift Tag:

    • Select Create.

    • Enter the following details:

      • Tag Name: Provide a clear and descriptive name (e.g., ‘Overtime Shift’).

      • Color: Choose a color for the tag to help visually differentiate it from others.

      • Emoji (Optional): Add an emoji for additional visual clarity (e.g., 🏊 for aquatic therapy shifts).

    • Select Save.

  • Assign Tags to Shifts:

    • Navigate to the relevant roster or shift.

    • Select Edit Shift.

    • Choose the appropriate tag from the list.

    • Save the shift with the tag applied.

  • Edit an Existing Shift Tag:

    • Locate the shift tag in the list.

    • Select Edit.

    • Update the tag name, color, or emoji as needed.

    • Select Save.

  • Delete a Shift Tag:

    • Locate the shift tag in the list.

    • Select Delete.

    • Confirm the deletion and select Save.

  • Automatically Apply Tags:

    • Optionally, configure certain tags to automatically apply to new shifts matching specific criteria.
