Q1: Can I change which class Stellic uses to fulfill a requirement?
(Stellic is currently counting Class A, but I would prefer to count Class B.)
A1: Yes! There are often multiple, correct ways to audit a student's record, and Stellic will strive to assign courses in a way that is as favorable to students as possible. That said, sometimes students would prefer to count classes differently. When this happens, students (and staff) have the ability to "prioritize eligible courses" in Stellic. This allows students to choose which eligible classes Stellic will count as fulfilling a requirement, when multiple, valid options are possible.
Q2: Can I request a waiver or a substitution for a requirement using Stellic?
A2: In some cases, yes! Starting on 3/10/25, students will be able to submit exception requests for all seven certificate programs. Students must be registered for the program to submit a request. Once submitted, requests are routed to program staff for approval. Students will receive an email message when their request has been approved or denied.
Students with questions about exceptions for degree programs should contact the program directly.
NOTE: Some programs require that students submit supporting documentation for their request, such as a syllabus or transcript. A request may be denied if the supporting documentation is missing.
