To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. From your QBOA account, click on the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.

For the purposes of this exercise, you will use the Sample File as if it were the spreadsheet Craig got from his colleague.

Once the file has been downloaded, we can upload it. Choosing the file from its location is not shown below because it is browser-specific.

Click "Browse" to locate the file on your computer for uploading.

The next step is to match the fields (column headers) in the spreadsheet to the fields in QuickBooks Online. If this were a real life scenario, you might have to make adjustments. For the purposes of this exercise, leave everything as is.

Now that you have confirmed the fields that you are importing and matched them to QBO, the next step is to confirm the data in those fields. The Sample file has one row of dummy data at the end that we don't want imported.

Scroll down, if necessary, uncheck the "box" for this row.
