To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. From your QBOA account, click on the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.

Note that you will be logged out of your current account. If you are sure, click "Continue" to confirm. 

From the left navigation bar, hover over Sales, then click "Products & services".

In the upper right hand corner, click the green "New" button (not the arrow next to it).

Products you buy and/or sell but don’t need to (or can’t) track quantities of, for example, nuts and bolts used in an installation.

Complete the Product/Service form as follows:

✓ Name: "Fertilizer" 

✓ Description: Uncheck “I sell this product/service to my customers”

 *NOTE: “I purchase this product/service from a vendor.” will then be automatically checked.*

 ✓ Purchasing information: "Fertilizer"

 

✓ Expense account: "Job Materials"
