    Add Giphy App to Slack

The first thing you have to do is add the Giphy App to Slack. Go to Slack's site and navigate to the Slack App Directory, which is linked under 'Resources' at the bottom of the homepage.
Search "Giphy" in the app directory and select it
    Click "Save Integration"

    Sending a GIF

Open Slack and go to the conversation in which you want to send a GIF. Click on the lighting bolt in the bottom left of the message box.
Search 'Giphy' in the shortcuts menu and click 'Find and share a gif with Giphy' when it pops up
Type a relevant word or phrase in the text field and hit 'Search'
Click 'Shuffle' to view more options if needed
When you find a GIF you like, click 'Share' to send it
Tip! Typing '/giphy' and hitting 'Enter' in your message will also open up the Giphy app.
