You must complete [Exercise SC.2.1a](https://scribehow.com/shared/SC21a_Create_an_Estimate__fX0ToRMqS1u8FhtJzOKLGg?referrer=documents) in the same Sample company session prior to completing this exercise.
Now let's get started with the exercise.
First, we need to turn on Progress Invoicing.
Click the gear icon, then select "Account and settings".
Click the "Sales" tab.
Click anywhere in the Progress Invoicing section to make it editable, then click the toggle next to "Create multiple partial invoices from a single estimate" (it will turn green to indicate it is turned on).
When the pop-up appears, click "Update".
Click "Save".
Click "Done".
Next, find the estimate you created in the previous exercise.
From the left navigation bar, hover over Sales, then select "All sales".
Click the blue "Estimates" box to get a list of your estimates.
On the Gevelber Photography line, click "Edit".
Click "Create invoice".
When asked how much you want to invoice, type "50" on the second line in the first box, then click "Create invoice".
*Note that QBO automatically does the calculation for you in the second box on that line.*
Notice that each line of the invoice is now deducted 50%.
Click the down arrow next to Save and send, then select "Save and close".
