    Start in the Sample company.
    To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. From your QBOA account, click on the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.
    Note that you will be logged out of your current account. If you are sure, click "Continue" to confirm.
    Now let's get started with the exercise. Here are the project details that you'll need: - Custom Design work - 2 hours - Rock Fountain - 1 - Fountain Pump - 1 - Lighting - 5 @$15/pack - Installation - 4 hours - Trimming - 2 hours

    Enable Deposits

    For this exercise, you will record the deposit using the deposit method. Start by enabling Deposits in Account and settings.
    Click the gear icon.
    Click "Account and settings"
    Click "Sales"
    Click anywhere in the Sales form content section to enable editing.
    Toggle the slider next to Deposit to green (enabled).
    Click "Save"
    Click "Done"

    Record a Customer Deposit

    Now we can record the invoice with the 25% customer deposit.
    Click "+New"
    Click "Invoice"
    In the Customer field, select "Wedding Planning by Whitney"
    Complete the invoice as follows: - Design, Qty 2 - Rock Fountain, Qty 1 - Fountain Pump, Qty 1 - Lighting, Qty 5, Rate: 15 - Installation, Qty 4 - Trimming, Qty 2
    Now, you can record the deposit.
