    Start in the Sample company.
To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. From your QBOA account, click on the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.
Note that you will be logged out of your current account. If you are sure, click "Continue" to confirm.
Now get started with the exercise.
First, take a look at the existing contractors.
From the Left Nav Bar, hover over Expenses, and click "Contractors"
Here, you can see Craig has one contractor, Brosnahan Insurance Agency, who is ready for 1099 prep.
    Click "1099 filings"
    Click "Prepare 1099s"
Click "Use Quickbooks to prep my own" *Note: You can try out "Let QuickBooks prep for me", but it can be finicky in the Sample Company.*
Click "Pay only when you file"
Here is where you would confirm and make edits to your Company information. It looks like the EIN is missing, so you cannot proceed until that is completed. Unfortunately, you cannot edit in this window because it requests your password, which you do not have for the Sample Company, so you will have to edit the Company info in Account and settings.
Click the "x" to close out of the window.
    Click the Gear icon.
    Click "Account and settings"
Click anywhere in the Company name field to edit the information.
    Click "EIN"
In the EIN field, type "123456789"
    Click "Save"
    Click "Done"
