Now let's get started with the exercise.
We'll start with John Johnson's Time.
Click the "+New" button, then select "Single time activity".
Leave the Date field as is. In a real life scenario, you would change this to the date John worked on the fountain.
In the Name field, select "John Johnson".
In the Customer field, select "Sonnenschein Family Store".
In the Service field, select "Maintenance & Repair".
Click the checkbox next to "Billable (/hr)".
In the box next to Billable (/hr) that appears, type "75".
*Note: the service is not taxable, so be sure the Taxable box is left unchecked.*
In the Time field, type ":45" to indicate the 45 minutes John worked.
In the Description field, type "Repair fountain pump".
Click the down arrow next to Save and new, then select "Save and close".
Now let's create the invoice for Sonnenschein Family Store.
Click the "+New" button, then select "Invoice".
In the Customer field, select "Sonnenschein Family Store".
A pop-up drawer will appear on the right side, showing the billable time that we just created for John.
Click "Add".
Craig also wants to charge Sonnenschein Family Store for the pump.
