ACRL/IPEDS Physical Title Report (PALNI Toolkit)

Click "Analytics"

Click "Reports"

Click "Report Launch Pad"

Click "Continue"

Open the 2.1 PAL2 folder

Open the Annual Survey Toolkit folder

Click "New PALNI Physical Title Quantities TEMPLATE for ACRL/IPEDS"

Click the "Enter a value manually" field

Type the date of the last month of your fiscal year (YYYY-MM)

Click "(manual entry)" - the date you entered will populate under "Calendar Year Month" on the left

Click "Run" to generate the report

the report has 4 tabs. The default tab "All Physical Titles" and includes all formats. To obtain the quantities for reporting, use the other three tabs.

Note that each tab will require some manual adjustments, that are described on the report, to help align the format quantities to the definitions set by ACRL.

"Physical Books" - this tab requires some manual adjustments. For survey purposes,BOOKS:MICROFORM should be subtracted from here and added to "Physical Media" ; For survey purposes,BOOKS:CONTINUALLYUPDATEDRESOURCES should be subtracted from here and added to "Physical Serials"

"Physical Media" - this tab requires some manual adjustments. For survey purposes, add BOOKS:MICROFORM from "Physical Books" to the quantity for "Physical Media"

"Physical Serials" - this tab requires some manual adjustments. For survey purposes, add BOOKS:CONTINUALLYUPDATEDRESOURCES from "Physical Books" to the quantity for "Physical Serials"
