This is an example of something we might consider spam.
    4
Open the email and make sure it is indeed spam. If there is a file or link attached to it, do not open or download it. When you are sure it is spam, click on the "Report spam" button.
    5
This is an example of spam that we might get from a vendor: a marketing newsletter.
    6
To get rid of these, open the email and scroll towards the bottom. There should be a place where you can unsubscribe.
    7
Once you have unsubscribed, archive, or preferably, delete the email.
    8
Sometimes, legitimate emails may wind up being flagged as spam. To find these, we will need to check the spam folder.
    9
To access the spam folder, click this icon.
    10
    Click "Spam"
    11
Check each line to see if something shouldn't be spam. Look for emails that we would typically find in the inbox, or vendor emails that you are familiar with. Typically, the vast majority of the items you find here will indeed be spam.
    12
If you do find something that shouldn't be in the spam folder, simply open the email, and click "Not spam." It will then be returned to the inbox, where it can be processed normally.
