Navigate to [https://posit.cloud/content/6208304](https://posit.cloud/content/6208304)

Tip: It may take a moment to load.

You'll see this workspace of hands-on R(Posit) activities. You can use the file picker in the bottom right to find the project file.

Click "Course 7" for all of the R hands-on activities

Click on the week that you are currently in; in our example, we'll click on "Week 2".

Click the right activity, which you'll be directed to do in Coursera; in this case we'll pick "Lesson3_Sandbox.Rmd".

Alert! This will open up a new R Markdown (RMD) file in your existing window in the top left corner.

Click into the R markdown (RMD) file

If you haven't already installed the R-Markdown and Tidyverse packages, install them by clicking the "Install" link above the script workspace.

You can run different 'chunks of code (text in gray) by clicking the green triangle button found to the right of each code line. In this case, we'll run the line of code: install.packages("tidyverse")

Alert! You may have already installed the "tidyverse" package. If that is the case, try clicking on the green arrow next to a different function and see the results.

You can track the progress of the command in the console below the code.

Another example.

Work through the rest of the lesson, running code as necessary. For example, this code creates geom_point() creates a scatterplot. Click the play arrow to run this particular chunk of code - sometimes you may be asked to complete a code chunk that has already been started.

The output of your code will appear in the same window beneath the code chunk.

Tip! By default, you are working in a temporary copy of the project. If you want to save your work save a permanent copy. You can find this at the top of the page titled, "Save a Permanent Copy" to the left of the settings gear icon.
