    Open the Microsoft Edge browser on your computer. If you do not see it on your tool bar, you can click go to this link: [[\[Microsoft Edge browser]]\](<https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/copilot>) You can also go through chrome and go go to <https://copilot.microsoft.com/>

    If it is your first time opening Edge you will be asked if you would like to sign in and sync your data or without. Please choose sync with data and accept the DUO push.

    Once you are logged into Microsoft Edge you can click on the rainbow colored Copilot icon

    Please note, if you have previously signed into edge and did not sync your data you will need to click "Sign in with a work or school account" Please not the protected version is currently only available to RIT Faculty and Staff when they are signed in.

    Click on your RIT account or add in your .[rit.edu](http://rit.edu) account. You will be asked to log in using your RIT username and password.

    Once you are signed in you will see the green Protected button at the top and your RIT username.

    You can set parameters for your responses to be more creative, balanced or precise by clicking on the preference. They do not lock in and you can change them back and forth by clicking on them.
