    Click "Edit mode"
    Locate "Inactive User Block" and click "Actions menu" cog icon.
    Click "Configure Inactive user alerts block".
    Click "Add alert".
    Click this dropdown to enable the activity alert feature.
    Click this dropdown to select if alert will be sent to students or other roles as well.
    Select which activity student completion should be checked against.
    Select the date for the alert to be sent. Also, you can choose more than one alert to be sent.
    Click the "Email template" field. to write the message. Click the question mark icon for more help. {alink} : link to the activity (displays as the activity name) {clink} : link to the course (displays as the course fullname) {cfull} : the fullname of the course {cshort} : the shortname of the course {userfullname} : the user's fullname
    Select if you want to include other staff in the alerts.
    Once you are happy with all settings, click "Save changes".
    Active alert is now displayed in the Block settings. You can choose to add other alerts for other activities in the course.
    When all alerts are added, click "Save changes".
    In the course, you will be able to see the alerts in the side drawer.
