Start in your Operations Center. In this example, we will add a Test Strip to a variable rate Fungicide map made from Satellite Imagery. Make sure to check your labels to verify what is acceptable rates before creating a prescription!
1
Click on the Analysis tab next to a field to launch Field Analyzer
2
Click here to choose your Satellite Imagery Layer
3
Imagery is stored as a "Crop Sensing" layer. Let's select that layer.
4
Here, we can select the NDVI Imagery layer.
5
Once the imagery layer loads, Click "Create Manual Rx"
6
Choose a zone Type
7
For our example, we will choose Colour Breaks
8
Since we are creating a Fungicide Map, we will select "Chemical"
9
Choose Fungicide from the Product Dropdown List
10
Click "Run Rx »"
11
Once the prescription loads, don't enter any rates just yet. Instead, Click "Edit Layer"
12
Click on these angled lines to create your Test Strips
13
If your guidance lines are linked, you can select your guidance lines from this list.

If you have your planter guidance lines saved, this allows the test strips to line up with one of the planter passes. If you want your guidance lines to be here, you can reach out to VRAFY and we will import them for you into our software from your Operations Center.
14
Select a Guidance Line
15
To make the test strips line up with guidance lines, click on the Snap to Lines.
16
Enter in the Width of your test strips. Typically this will be the width of your sprayer. For our example, we will enter 120 ft. Enter in the strip length. Notice the preview so you can make them shorter or longer as needed. If you don't have a guidance line, enter in the Alignment Angle to line the Test Strips up with how you want them to run.

Feel free to put them at a 90 degree angle to your rows if you don't want them to line up with your rows. Just make them wide enough for your equipment to have time to react properly and for yield maps to properly measure the results.

Fill out the details on the Number of Trials and the Number of Replicates. Also note the ability to add passes between trials and between replicates.
