    **Tip!** Starting **August 1, 2024**, inspection scheduling via the Develop 901 Citizen Portal will be restricted to two contact types: the Licensed Professional (LP) and/or the contacts included on the account and application. If you prefer, you can access the [Video Tutorial](https://www.loom.com/share/30d77134b69046e4916031affdbe5118?sid=acc24de9-44ec-440f-b6be-d4fb0ab2e6fc). **Step One:** - Licensed Professionals must add their License to the Develop 901 Citizen Portal account. - Any person that may be required to schedule an inspection or otherwise manage an application after submission, should be added as a Contact to the Develop 901 Citizen Portal account. **Step Two:** - Once the Licensed Professional is added to the Develop 901 Citizen Portal account, the license must be added to **each application**. - Once Contacts are added to the Develop 901 Citizen Portal account, any Contact that may need to schedule an inspection must be added to **each application** using the ‘Select from Account’ option. \*If an application was submitted **prior to August 1, 2024**, please complete step one and then contact our office for assistance completing step two and adding the correct Licensed Professional and Contacts to an application. *Select the appropriate number for the permit type:* Building/Certificates of Occupancy: 901.222.8394 Mechanical: 901.222.8396 Plumbing: 901.222.8398 Electrical: 901.222.8395

    Navigate to the Develop 901 Citizen Portal at[https://aca-prod.accela.com/SHELBYCO](https://aca-supp.accela.com/SHELBYCO/Login.aspx)

    Create an account by selecting "CREATE AN ACCOUNT" and follow the prompts to set up an account. Existing account holders should enter their credentials and click "SIGN IN".

    Once logged in, click "Account Management".

    Step One: Add Licensed Professionals & Contacts to Your Account

    Scroll to the License Information section and click "Add a License" to the right.

    Expand the "License Type" dropdown and select "Contractor" . Click the "License Number" field and type *your* license number. Please enter your license number with the preceding letter associated with your discipline: *M* (Mechanical), *P* (Plumbing), *E* (Electrical), or *B* (Building). Click "Find License". Expired licenses cannot be added to an account. Please contact our office at 901.222.8390 to register a license or renew an expired license.

    Once the license is found and confirmed, click "Add License to Account". Licenses must be current to be added to the Develop 901 Citizen Portal account, meaning the professional must be registered with our office, the annual registration fee must be paid, and the license expiration date must be the future. You will see a confirmation message when the license is successfully added. Click "OK" to close the confirmation messages.

    Next, add anyone that may need to manage applications or inspections as an approved contact. Click "Add a Contact" in the Account Management section.

    Enter all relevant contact information, including First and Last Name, Name of Business, and phone numbers. Please note: This information will be connected to permit applications. Please ensure that the information needed to contact you is present.

    Please enter a valid email address. Communications will be sent to this address if needed.

    Click "Continue" when completed.

    Contacts can be deleted by clicking the Actions dropdown on the contact in the *Action* column.

    Step Two: Add Licensed Professionals and Contact to Permit Applications Directly from your Account

    When an application is created, Licenses that are added to an account will be available to automatically add to the application. Applicants will be prompted to select a license before selecting an application type. The selected license will be added to the application’s Licensed Professional List in the Contact Information section.

    Click "Construction Enforcement" to start an application.

    Click the "I have read and accepted the above terms." checkbox.

    Click the Licenses dropdown menu and select the license that should be added to the application you are completing.
