    Add a Requester, Operator, or Administrator

      This administration page is shared between both the soft and hard FM Helpdesk. If you only have one of these systems you won't see all options displayed here, but the process is the same.

      Navigate to Synbiotix

      Enter your username and password and click "Login"

      Select Helpdesk

      Click "Administration"

      Click "Manage Users"

      Add a New User

      Click "Add New"

      Enter the user details

      The fields username, first name and surname are mandatory

      Click "Save"

      The new user will be able to log in using the password **password1$** . This can be changed to something more memorable by logging in to Synbiotix via a web browser. Passwords can't be changed through the Helpdesk app

      Assign User Roles

      Once the user has been created, you need to assign roles. Roles control what a user can do within the Helpdesk system

      Select the required role(s)

      Commonly used roles are: - **Administrator** – administrators have access to all parts of the Helpdesk system (excluding reports). They can make changes to the system configuration and add new users - **Clinical Manager** – clinical managers can request softFM jobs, and see jobs across the whole site - **Clinical User** – clinical users can request softFM jobs. They can only see jobs they've raised, or jobs linked to their assigned area - **HardFM User** – HardFM users can raise reactive hardFM jobs - **Helpdesk User** – Helpdesk users can view all softFM jobs entered into the system by any user - **Porter** – these users have no access to the online system, but can receive tasks on the handheld devices - **Portering Dispatcher** – a portering dispatcher can manually assign softFM jobs to resources - **Support Contact** – this user appears on the Help page as support contact for the Helpdesk system - **Services Hub &gt; User** - the user has the services hub view by default For information about the other roles please contact Synbiotix.
