      Navigate to Synbiotix
      Enter your username and password and click "Login"
      Select Cleaning Standards
      Click "Administration"
      Click "Manage Locations"
      Click down through the levels of your organisation's structure until you reach ward level
      Select the ward
      Make sure you Reschedule the ward after making any changes. This will ensure any changes pull through to the audit schedule (if any audits are outstanding). See how to do this in Step 29

      Add a Room

      Click "Add Area"
      Enter the room name
      Enter the room code, if required. This number is usually found on the door or door frame
      Select the room type (functional risk) from FR1 to FR6
      The system uses room functional risks to determine the audit frequency for the ward. The frequencies are configurable, but by default are set to:\ FR1 - Weekly\ FR2 - Monthly\ FR3 - Bi-monthly (every 2 months)\ FR4 - Quarterly\ FR5 - Six-monthly\ FR6 - Yearly This is in line with the recommendations in the National Standards for Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 by NHS England. When using blended areas, the proportion of rooms in each risk category within a ward will determine the overall ward functional risk (e.g: if ten rooms are in FR2, five in FR3, and one in FR4, the rating for the would be FR2 blended). The audit frequency for blended areas is the same as above.
      The Active status of a new room will be set to "Yes" by default. Inactive rooms will not be visible within the system
      Click "Save"

      Bulk Upload Rooms

      Use the bulk upload function to add multiple rooms at once
      Click "Download Area Template"
