Start with an empty chat

In this example, we'll use the **Airbus specs** chat we created in the [Create and name a chat](https://scribehow.com/shared/Create_and_name_a_chat__hohWWYUgTQe28qlMsX0nPA) tutorial

There are several ways to add a file to the chat: upload a file or directory from your local computer, upload a file from a connected drive, or add a file from a URL

In this example, we'll click **files** and navigate to a file on our local computer (not shown here)

When the file has finished uploading, close the **Processing complete** popup

To add more files to the chat, click **Add files**

Again, we'll click **files** and navigate to a file on our local computer (not shown)

Again, close the **Processing complete** popup once the new file has been uploaded

To see the contents of a file, click its title in the file list
