    Adjusting an image focal point

      1
A photo's composition may not align well with how the RCCL displays it on a page component. In this example we see how this 50/50 component has an image that looks a bit cut off. **We can use the RCCL configuration to adjust the focal point of the image.**
      2
Navigate to **Content** > **Media** > **Media Library**
      3
Identify your image in the Media Library and **select Edit.** \ \ (This may be a pencil icon or the word Edit, depending on your setup)
      4
From the media edit screen, **identify the thumbnail preview of your image**.
      5
Use the **crosshairs icon** (by default in the exact center of the image) to **adjust the defined "focal point**" of the image.
      6
In this example, we've adjusted the focal point to land on the subject's head, which is in the left third of the image.
      7
      **Save** your edit.
      8
Click "**Back to site**" to return to the page where you entered the media library from.
      9
Examine your edit. Continue to refine until it is suitable\* for you. Remember that adjusting the focal point will be a global change. If the image is used in more than one place, it will render in with the updated focal point everywhere it is used. *\*Adjusting the focal point may, depending on the image, not solve all issues.*
