**Please Note, Geofences function slightly differently in Ascend/Temeda as there are two categories of Geofencing:** - **Locations:** - Smaller geofences with a limited area. - Primarily used for monitoring vehicle or asset activity within a specific, confined area. - Locations are designed for more detailed reporting, such as tracking engine hours, fuel use, or time spent within the geofence. - ***Limitation***\*: They are restricted by a maximum size to ensure the data remains manageable and focused on a particular area.\* - **Zones**: - Larger geofences that can cover broader areas. - Used for monitoring larger regions where size flexibility is necessary, such as an entire city, worksite, or facility. - **Primary Use**: Zones are often used for entry and exit alerts, helping track when assets or vehicles move in and out of defined regions without being limited by size constraints.

    10
You can also decide if you want this to be shared with any child divisions you might have now or in the future. See the (?) for more info.
