Specialties dictate the job types that resources can do. You may need to assign these to your resources before they are able to receive jobs. For examplee, if a porter has the "Transport Blood" specialty, they can do that job; porters without the specialty can't. This is useful for job types that need special skills or training, like handling blood or moving deceased patients.

Once a specialty is assigned to at least one resource, it becomes a specialty job. If you want other resources be able to perform the specialty job, you'll need to enable it for them too. If you don't assign any specialties, all job types will be available to all resources.
