    Navigate to [cadetportfolio.com](https://cadetportfolio.com/)

    Click "Register".

    Fill out the Registration Form following the suggestions below.

    **High School Field** Click the "High School" field. Start typing the high school name and a drop-down menu will appear.

    Some high schools have similar names. Be sure the cadet picks his/her high school.

    **First Name & Last Name Fields** Enter the first and last name **EXACTLY** as it appears on the instructor's roster. If it is not, you will be given an error message.

    **Pop-up Box** When the cadet clicks on the email text field, **LOOK FOR THIS POP-UP BOX** to appear.

    The cadet will find his/her name and click "Select".

    **Email Field** Enter an email according to your school policy. It can be a personal or school email.

    **Prior to leaving the JROTC program, remind the cadets to update their email to a personal email so they can access their Cadet Portfolio after graduation.**

    **Cell Phone Field** We highly encourage the cadets to enter a cell phone number to make the Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Process go quickly and to have their account authenticated for 90 days. The cell phone is optional. If the cadet does not want to use the cell phone for the MFA process, they can authenticate using an email or the alternate "Class Code" Method.

    **Password Field** Enter a password following the pop-up box criteria.

    Click "Register".

    Read the "Cadet Portfolio Privacy Policy".

    Scroll to the bottom and click "Accept Policy".

    Read the "Use of Personal Contact Information" and click Accept.

    **Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Process** To fulfill the G6-required security measures, we have been tasked to implement the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Process for all users (Instructors and Cadets). Please read the step-by-step guide below to understand this feature. There are two methods to authenticate cadets' accounts. ***The method chosen will depend on your school and district policies regarding the use of cell phones and emails.*** 1. The **"Verification Code"** method using the cell phone or email will validate the account for 90 days. **This is the preferred method.** 2. The **"Class Code"** method is generated by the instructor daily. The Class Code verifies the cadet for 2-hour blocks up to 24 hours. Once the 2-hour block expires, the cadet will need to enter the Class Code and validate again. This is a backup method and used only if the "Verification Code" method can not be used. 3.
