Canvas: Importing Course Materials and Adjusting Assignment Dates

Navigate to the course you want to import material into.

Click "Import Existing Content"

Select "Copy a Canvas Course"

Click the "Search for a course" field and type in the name of the course you're wanting to copy from. As you begin typing, any course you are or have been a teacher in will begin to populate.

Select the course your want to import material from.

To import an entire course, click the "All content" field. To import only select items, click the "Select Specific Content" field.
The step below is VERY important if you are importing materials from a past course.

Click "Adjust events and due dates"

Click the "Remove dates" field to remove all previous due dates from assignments you're importing.

Click this button.
