    Open the video in YouTube. In the video's description, scroll down until you see "Transcript".

    Click and drag your mouse over the timestamps and the captions. Then click Ctrl+c

    Paste this onto a Word doc and save. There is no need to edit the formatting of the document.

    Open ["Subtitle Converter | Free tool | GoTranscript"](https://gotranscript.com/subtitle-converter)

    Click "Upload" and select the SubRip (.srt) format

    Click "Convert". Your .srt file will automatically download to your Downloads folder or the folder that you last used.

    You may be asked to complete a Captcha before your file downloads.

    Open Canvas Studio and select the video you want to add the captios to. Click "Captions" from the options under the video.

    Click "Upload"

    Click the "Language" field and select English.

    The captions have now been uploaded and you can click "Close".

    Click the play icon to ensure that the timing of the captions match the audio of the video.
