Move all applicants to a final applicant status, such as "Not Interviewed, Not Hired" or "Interviewed, Not Hired." The new hire should be moved to the applicant status "Migrated to iO."

To update the applicant status, click on the box next to their name or select all by checking the box at the top of the application list.

Click on **Status** at the top to update their application status.
Assign disposition codes (i.e., non-selection reasons) to each non-selected applicant.

Make sure the box is checked next to the applicant's name and click on **Disposition Code** at the top.
Since the system does not automatically email non-selected applicants, you will have to email all non-selected applicants to notify them.

Make sure you have checked the box next to the names of all of the non-selected applicants and click on **Email** at the top of the applicant list.

You can either create your own email from scratch or select VPAA's template titled "Search has been completed." Please feel free to modify the template or use it as is.

You can **Preview** the email before it is sent out.

When it's ready to send out, click **Send**.

Now, you may close the position. Click on **Position Actions**.

Click **Edit Position**.

**Unpublish** the posting.

Go back to **Position Actions**.

Click **Close Position**.

If an applicant was selected, click **Yes**.

Click **Add Applicant** to choose which applicant was selected.

If an applicant was not selected, click **No**.

Under **Notes**, you can write the reason why an applicant was not selected.
