    Access the Admin area from the top right of the screen.

    Scroll down to locate the "Coding Configs" option.

    Click on "Coding Configs" to access the configuration page.

    In the initial section, you will find your comprehensive list of chart of accounts. Click the down arrow icon to view them.

    When you establish the connection with your accounting software, all chart of account codes (also known as GL codes) will be seamlessly transferred to Acume. For Xero and MYOB customers, this transfer occurs automatically without any manual intervention. Just ensure you accurately link Acume with your accounting software. For enterprise users, we'll collaborate to facilitate the setup process. If you're not using any accounting software, this is when you can create the codes in Acume. We strongly advise that your accounting software remains the primary source of truth. Creating codes here could lead to inaccurate reporting, so it's best to avoid this scenario.

    Choose "active" or "inactive" under "Use" to indicate whether the dimension is actively used or not in the coding process.

    Decide whether the dimension is mandatory for coding during invoice creation or payments. You can choose between "Optional" or "Mandatory" for this setting.

    Now if you'd like to add a code simply click on 'Options'.

    Then enter the code and description and click 'Add'.

    Use "Coding Configs" to incorporate Cost Centres, Branches, Project Codes, and more for precise financial processes and accurate reporting.

    You can also use the 'Search' function to find codes.

    Lastly, depending on your requirement, you have the flexibility to activate or deactivate each code.

    The codes will be automatically saved, ensuring that your changes are recorded without the need for manual saving.

    If your accounting software isn't connected via API and requires manual linking, opting to replicate data instead of importing from an older legacy system can be a more straightforward solution. This can save time on integration efforts. For further assistance and details, we're here to help.
