Community Dashboard - Creating and inserting shortcodes on your Community Dashboard

Enter your credentials and click **Log in** If you do not have access to API Keys in your account, reach out to ClearPoint Support at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

Once logged in to **WordPress**, navigate to the **page** in WordPress where you want to place the shortcode\ Click on **Module Settings** to edit the module where you want to place the shortcode\ Make sure you are in the **Text editor**

Open the **ClearPoint Content Generator** by clicking on the ClearPoint icon in the Chrome extensions

Log into the **Content Generator** using your ClearPoint credentials (these are different from your WordPress credentials) You cannot be logged into ClearPoint on your Chrome browser and the Content Generator at the same time. If you want to log into your ClearPoint account, while logged into the Content Generator, we suggest using an incognito Chrome window to log into ClearPoint.

Click on the **Shortcode tab** You will find five types of shortcodes in the **Type dropdown menu** **Element** shortcodes reference information that does not change over time, such as the name, description, or owner of an element. **Status** shortcodes reference information having to do with changes over time, such as Analysis, reporting period or frequency, and status name. **Chart** shortcodes reference charts. **Measure Data Grid** shortcodes reference measure data tables. **Series** shortcodes reference information about measure series such as name, value, or status icon.

Under **Scorecard**, select the Scorecard where the information is located in ClearPoint. Additional drop-down menus will appear based on the type of shortcode selected. When all dropdowns are complete, you will see a preview of the shortcode appear. Important: If you are using a Status, Series, or Chart shortcode, you will see a Period drop-down menu appear. Only specify a reporting period if you want to show information from a specific, static reporting period that will not change over time. Otherwise, if you want the shortcode to update with the rest of the dashboard don’t make any changes here.

Click **Copy** to copy the shortcode to your clipboard.

Navigate back to **WordPress**\ **Paste the shortcode** into the module\ \ You can then style the shortcode using Divi’s built-in options as well as HTML and CSS, treating the shortcodes like the content they include. \ \ For example, add a font size and color to a measure name shortcode in WordPress as though the shortcode were the text of the name itself – because that’s how it will appear on the page.\ \ Click the **green check to Save** your changes
