    Connect your Email to HubSpot

    Click the 'Gear icon' to access HubSpot settings
    Click the gear icon
    Click the Settings gear
    Click "General" under 'Your Preferences'
    Click 'General' under the Your Preferences heading
    Click the 'Email' tab
    Click the email tab
    Click "Connect personal email"
    Click Connect personal email
    Check "Turn on inbox automation"
    Check the box for inbox automation
    [Inbox Automation](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/connected-inbox-automation) is where HubSpot will attempt to process email bodies and signatures to update properties such as name, email, phone number, address.
    Click "Connect your inbox"
    Click Connect your inbox
    Type your business email address
    type your business email
    Do not connect generic email addresses like "hello@, info@, sales@, support@, etc.
    Click 'Next'
    Click "Connect to..." if HubSpot correctly identified your email service. Otherwise click "I want to choose my email provider myself"
    Connect to your email provider
    Click Select the correct provider.
    Click Google if you use Gmail
    Providers that are not Google/Microsoft will be connected through "Other mail provider" using your IMAP settings. [Refer to this documentation](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email-tracking/connect-your-inbox-to-hubspot#other-mail-provider-imap)
    Click "Continue"
    click continue
    Follow the prompts
    select your Google account
    Click "Allow"
    Click allow
    Download Extension
    click Download Extension
    Other email provider users follow these steps:
    Click "Download" for the extension right for you
    Download the extension for your Email client
