    Connecting your ORCID ID to Pure

    ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a non-proprietary alphanumeric code to uniquely identify scientific and other academic authors and contributors. ORCID provides an identifier for individuals to use with their name as they engage in research, scholarship and innovation activities. ORCID is a not-for-profit organisation, sustained by fees from member organisations.

    Navigate to Pure[\[https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/admin/\]](https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/admin/)

    Click the "Personal" tab

    Click "Create or Connect your ORCID ID"

    Click the "Pure is allowed to read public and limited visibility items on my ORCID record" tick box (if you are happy for ORCID to provide import suggestions to your Pure profile)

    Click the "I hereby allow Pure to export content on my behalf" tick box (if you are happy for Pure to export your content to ORCID - this includes research outputs, Pure Profile URL, organisation affiliation and Scopus ID)

    Click "Proceed"

    Click "Sign in to ORCID"

    If you have forgotten your ORCID ID or password follow this link <https://orcid.org/reset-password> If you haven't yet signed up to ORCID, you can follow the steps on how to do so[here](https://scribehow.com/shared/How_to_sign_up_for_an_ORCID_ID__nUtFxlJrRTS003i1ZlMCSg)

    Click "Authorize access"

    Your profile will now state "Authenticated" and your ORCID ID will be successfully connected to your profile

    Once you have your ORCID ID connected to Pure and Scopus, your Scopus ID will appear within your Pure Profile automatically
