Sign in to **AWS Management Console** as an **IAM User** **Pre-requisite** - Ensure you have selected the AWS region closest to your location\ For this guide, we will be using us-east-2 (Ohio) as a preferred choice
Type **Cost Explorer** in the search bar and click on **Cost Explorer** to view the Cost Explorer Dashboard
**What is Cost Explorer in AWS?** Cost Explorer is a tool provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that allows users to visualize, analyze, and manage their AWS costs and usage. It offers interactive charts, graphs, and reports to help users understand their spending patterns, identify cost drivers, and optimize resource utilization.
On the **Billing and Cost Management** dashboard, click on the **Cost Explorer** from the left bar
**New cost and usage report** wizard will open, here you can view the cost and usage graph
Scroll to the **Cost usage breakdown** section
**What is Cost usage breakdown?** The cost usage breakdown is a detailed analysis of your AWS spending, categorizing costs by various dimensions such as services, regions, instance types, accounts, or tags. Click on the **Cost Explorer Saved Reports** from the left bar

Click on the **Budgets** from the left bar

They allow users to define limits on how much they want to spend on AWS services within a specific timeframe. Users receive alerts when their spending approaches or exceeds these limits, helping them to manage their AWS expenses effectively.
**Overview** wizard will open, here you can view all the Budgets you have created

To view the AWS Compute Optimizer, type **AWS Compute Optimizer** in the search bar and click on **AWS Compute Optimizer**
