Sign up for an account with [WavTool](https://wavtool.com?utm_source=100school&utm_medium=referral) and follow the onboarding instructions.\ \ You'll need to upgrade to a 1-day free trial of the Pro plan (no credit card required), to complete this lesson.\ \ Navigate to<https://app.wavtool.com/account>where you'll see the screen below.\ \ Enter the code '100school' and click 'REDEEM'.

    2

You'll know if the upgrade has worked if you see a 'SUCCESS!' message appear.

    3

Navigate back to <https://app.wavtool.com/> and you'll see a blank project screen.\ \ Click the '**AI**' button in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.

    4

    Click "**BROWSE AI SKILLS**".

    5

Click '**Generate Audio'** within the '**AI & Skills**' menu.

    6

Click the "**Type a message**" field.

    7

Enter your prompt and click '**Generate**'. \ \ If you'd like a prompt to use, you can copy this:\ \ *I'd like to create a short jingle for my educational YouTube channel, 'Permissionless'. Please create an intro and outro clip that I can play on this channel. The music should feel positive, empowering and uplifting. It should feel more personal than corporate. Create something that is synth led and up to 10 seconds in length.*

    8

Your music will generate and be added to the editor. Note: WavTool generates up to 10 seconds of audio, which is fine for our use case.\ \ Click the play button to see what music the AI has created.

    9

Click this button to add a timeline loop.\ \ This will allow you to click '**Play**' and will put your track on a loop (continous play from start to finish) within the editor.

    10

Click and drag the loop to it aligns with the AI generated music that you created.

    11

You should end up with something like this.\ \ Click the play button to hear the music on loop.\ \ Putting your music on loop while editing like this just helps you to get a feel for your music and prevents you from having to stop and restart your music.

    12

You're now going to add a '**fade out**' effect to your clip, common for transitioning from music to other sections of your content.\ \ Click this area within the waveform of your track and drag it left until you've created a fade out effect for around the last half second to second of your track.

    13

You should end up with something that looks like this.

    14

Click the "**AI**" button.\ \ You're now going to add a new instrument to your music. \ \ Does your music lack drums? Or guitar? Or bass?\ \ Listen to your music and think of an instrument that might compliment the music. Don't worry if it doesn't sound great, remember, you're just experimenting with how AI can help you when creating music, it won't feel right 100% of the time, and that's why experimentation is important!

    15

In the 'Conductor Chat' section, ask the AI to add an instrument to your music. \ \ For example, 'Can you add drums to this clip?'

    16

You'll see that a new track has been added to the editor. In this example, drums have been added. \ \ Align the new track with the rest of your music by clicking the end of the track and dragging it left.

    17

You should end up with something that looks like this. See how the loop, music and newly added instrument are all aligned?\ \ Click the play button to see how your track sounds.

    18

Click "**Untitled Project**" at the top of the page and replace the text with the name of your project.

    19

Click "**Share**" at the top of the page.

    20

    Click "**RENDER & PUBLISH**".
