Create A Kahoot! Assignment in Canvas (Self-Paced)

Assign a self-paced Kahoot! to students in Canvas and have their "completion grade" go directly into Canvas' Gradebook.

Navigate to [wccc.instructure.com](https://wccc.instructure.com/courses/3736#)

Go to the course where you want to add the **Kahoot! Assignment**.

Find the **Module** where you want to add the Kahoot! Click the **Plus Sign** to add it.

Change the default option of **"Assignment"** to **"External Tool"** by using the **Dropdown Arrow**.

Scroll down to find **"Kahoot!"** (The options are listed in alphabetical order.) Click **"Kahoot!"**

You can toggle between your **Team WCCC Account** and your **Private Account.** When you are in the correct account, scroll to find the Kahoot! that you would like to assign.

Click the account listed in the top right corner to change between your two accounts. In WCCC you will find the assets that can be easily shared among your team members. In Private, as the name suggests, you will find Kahoots! that you don't neccessarily want to be viewable to others on your team. (**Note:** You cannot publically share a Kahoot! from the WCCC Team Account, so you will have to put Kahoots in private if you want to make it **Public** or make **Unlisted**.)

Once you find the desired Kahoot!, click the blue **"Add"** button.

Click this dropdown to choose the **Due Date**. After you make your selection, move to the right to choose the **Time** the assignment is due.

Once you have selected the correct **Due Date** and **Time**, click the green **"Create"** button.

It will automatically create the Kahoot! assignment and add it to your **Module** with the same title of the Kahoot!. To edit that Kahoot! assignment, double click on the assignment title.

Then click **"Edit Assignment Settings."** You can then add desired directions, resources and modify other assignment settings.

Once you have completed the assignment modifications, click **"Save."**

Now your Kahoot is ready to start for students. When students access the assignment, it will automatically give the student's name. When they are ready to start the self-paced game, they should click **"OK, go!"**

Students will see all of the questions and be able to move through them at their own pace. They will get points for correct answers, but these assignments will be graded on completion only. After the Kahoot! has been taken the students will get a completion grade in the **Canvas Gradebooks** and teachers will be able to see those grades and get **Reports** on how students did on each question.
