Create A New Financial Period & Open A Period

We are going to create a financial year. In order to do this you will need to navigate to the Finance workspace.

Click "Master Financial Calendar" from the listed options.

When the "Master Financial Calendar" workspace loads you can click on the plus sign to "Add New Record" or you can use command keys (Ctrl+Ins)

The next available financial year will automatically generate in the "Financial Year" field. Click "GENERATE CALENDAR" to create the next financial year.

Verify the information that auto populates and then Click "OK"

You can navigate to the "Manage Financial Periods" workspace right from this screen by Clicking "ACTIONS" followed by selecting the action you would like to take.

Let's practice this by opening a financial period Click "ACTIONS"

Select the option "Open Periods" from the drop-down menu.

Next, select the periods you would like to open. In this example, I will be selecting 01-2025.

Once you've selected your desired period Click "PROCESS"

the system will run. When the screen reads "Processing Completed" you can Click "CLOSE". You have now opened a financial period.
