    Step 2 of 3

    7
You can change the number of Decimal Places or Significant Figures for the final answer.
    8
Check the box beside "Display place settings or significant figures" to allow the students to see the number of decimals or significant digits they need to round to.
    9
You can choose to set a tolerance for the students' answers to be within by clicking "Allow partial credit if answer is within a chosen range"
    10
You can also force the students to include the units in the final answer.
    11
You can set your variables to be within a range of values to keep the calculations reasonable.
    12
Click the "Number of answer sets " to create unique variables for the number of students in your class. You have some leeway to create more or less variables: Maybe you want 1/3 of the class to calculate the same answer so you set it to 1/3 of your class size. Maybe you want to ensure a student gets different variables for extra attempts, so you have a higher number than your class size.
    13
    Click "Next"

    Step 3 of 3

    14
You'll now see a list of all the random variables that were created and their corresponding answers.
    15
If everything is correct, click "Save" to create your question.
