Create Opportunity without a Lead in D365 CE
Just to be clear - There should always be a Lead created, before we create an Opportunity. Only in exceptional circumstances should there be an Opportunity created, that didn't come from a Lead. For those rare cases, here is how to do it.

Click "Opportunities" on the lefthand side

The default view will be ‘My Open Opportunities’. Check you have the correct list of views.

Select ‘+New’ along the top ribbon to start a new Opportunity

Select Account ‘Andrew Sharp Test Account’ by typing and then clicking the magnifying glass

Click the magnifying glass on the Contact search field and select ‘Homer Simpson’

Enter 'Opportunity Name' with the naming convention ""<Userinitals> Test meaningful opportunity title"" (e.g. BS Test XXX)

Enter a meaningful 'Description' to the opportunity, (e.g. XXXX)

Select Opportunity Type ‘Managed Print’. Note: Ensure you select the correct Type as this will lock after selection.

Select Opportunity Source of your choice

Check the Owner has autofilled with your own details

Select Est Close Date as one month from today’s date

Click 'Save'
