Create Recurring Additional Pay for Dual Employment Using Self Service Transaction Links

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to enter recurring additional pay for a salaried staff employee's dual employment Empl Record. Use this guide to create the recurring additional pay in UCPath using the Self Service Transaction Links page.

The recurring additional pay must be entered on or after the Empl Record effective date and cannot be entered before the effective date.

Navigate to UCPath [https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu](https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home)

On the **Workforce Administration** homepage, click the **Payroll Tasks** tile.

On the left navigation pane, expand the **Payroll Transactions** section.

Select the **Self Service Transaction Links** option.

Click the **Create** link for **Additional Pay (E-330)**.

Enter search criteria in one or more search fields. For the most accurate search results, use the **Empl ID** field. Optionally, use the **Empl Rcd** to ensure you select the dual employment job.

Click the **Get Employees** button.

Click the **Name** link on the row with the Empl Record for the dual employment job.

Self Service Additional Pay Page

The fields for entry of additional pay appear in the **New Additional Pay** section on the left side of the page. If the employee already has additional pay, it appears in the **Current Additional Pay** section on the right side of the page. For this example, the employee does not have existing additional pay.

In the **Earnings Code** field, type or select **DEE** for Dual Employment-Exempt. **NOTE:** This is the only earnings code to use for dual employment additional pay for salaried/monthly staff employee.

In the **Effective Date** field, type or select from the calendar icon the first day of the pay period in which the additional pay should begin. **NOTE:** The **Effective Date** defaults to today's date.

In the **End Date** field, type or select from the calendar icon the date the additional pay should end.

From the **Reason** list of values, select **New Additional Pay**.

In the **Pay Period Amt** field, type the additional pay amount that should be paid to the employee per pay period.

Leave the **Goal Amount** field blank.

If appropriate, deselect the **Prorate Additional Pay** check box. **NOTE:** Proration may be necessary if the dual employment effective date starts or ends outside the first/last day of a pay period. For example, if a monthly employee started on December 15, the **Prorate Additional Pay** check box should be selected.

In the **Applies To Pay Periods** section, accept the default selections. **NOTE:** UCPath automatically selects the **First** check box for salaried/monthly employees because they have only one pay period per month.

Click the **Upload / View Supporting Documents** link to attach a supporting document.

In the **Initiator Comment** field, enter specific details or explanation regarding the dual employment payment.

Click the **Submit** button to initiate UCPath approval process.

The transaction is routed for approval in UCPath and the routing details appear at the bottom of the page.
