Create & Use Connect Message Templates

    1
    Navigate to [https://dashboard.accushield.com/](https://dashboard.accushield.com/landing)
    2
    Click "Connect"
    3
First, let's make sure your Connect Messaging tool is turned on. Click "Settings"
    4
If not already checked, check the box next to "Enable Group Messaging" and then check the box next to every visitor type you may want to message in the future. Click "Save" once done.
    5
    Now click "Overview"
    6
Scroll down and click "Create New Template"
    7
Add in your Subject Line / Template Name and then add in your Message. You can add 360 characters into the Message field.
    8
Copying & pasting the Placeholder options into your message will allow some personalization. For example, you can write "Hello \[First Name\]" and when your message sends, the \[First Name\] placeholder will fill with the name of the receiver. You do not need to manually fill in the Placeholder Options with anything other than the defaulted text provided.
    9
    Click "Save" once you're done.
    10
When you're ready to use your template - scroll down on that Overview page & click the plus button next to your chosen template.
    11
That should take you to the "Create Message" page. Put in your audience parameters on the lefthand side. Remember, if you want to message visitors that aren't residents or staff - you need to put in a date range first.
    12
Click "Apply" once you've chosen your visitor types.
    13
Check the box next to the numbers and / or email addresses you want to send this message to.
    14
Your templated Subject Line & Message should already be filled in the box - but you can make edits, if you'd like. Edits will only be reflected on this specific message and not the template you've created.
    15
    Click "Send" when you're ready.
    16
Confirm you'd like to send your message.
    17
You also have the option to save any message you send as a template by checking the "Save as template" option on the popup.
