Click "Edit mode" to enable editing mode.

Locate where the Media collection activity should go, click "Add an activity or resource".

Select "Media collection" from the activity and resource picker.

Provide a name for the Media collection activity.

Optionally, provide a description so students understand the purpose of the activity.

Students have been tasked with creating simple posters relating to renewable energy as a workshop task. This will not be graded but submissions are required as it is a part of your workshop tasks. Please ensure you provide feedback to at least 2 other students before the next workshop.

Select a collection type. 

General Collection is commonly used to build collections. Assignment Collection is only used alongside the "Assignment" activity to allow galleries to be submitted from the collection into an existing Assignment.

Adjust any other settings as desired.

"Max galleries per user" can be used to prevent students from building their own galleries. If disabled, the "Contributable" option can be used later when creating a gallery to allow students to add into instructor built galleries.

Select how the gallery will be displayed either with a "Carousel" or "Grid view".

Click "Save and return to course" to finalise and confirm any changes.

Confirm if the activity has been added to the main course page.
