Double-click the **folder** where you want the new file saved

Click the **New** button

Click **Google Docs** *(or any other type of file you want to create)*

The file will open in a new tab...\ In the upper-left corner, enter the **name** of your document.
The file will automatically save to your Google Drive as you edit the document.
