- **Description** - This is useful for identifying the Tax Claim Process and appears in various screens. - **Tax Year** - This defaults to the previous year. - **Tax Claim Category** - This is either IRL for Irish donors, or UK for United Kingdom donors. - **Run Immediately** - This is mainly for testing as it only works for up to 50 donors before it hits Salesforce processing limits. - **Date next scheduled to run** - The process will run overnight on the date you specify. This allows it to run in batch mode to avoid the limits when running immediately. - **User to be Notified** - When the process is finished, it will email a report to this user. If this field is left blank, then the report will go to the user who created the Tax Claim Process record.

To Process the Tax Claim, use the provided button.
9

You will then be presented with this screen, click "Next" and the next screen will appear.
11
Click "Finish" to start the process.
12
The Status changes to "In Progress"
13
Once the process completes, the Status will change to "Complete" and you will receive an email giving the number of donors that were processed and any errors encountered.
Review
14
After the process has been completed, you will see a list of the history records. One history record is created for each donor that met the criteria for the tax reclaim process. That is that the donor made donations in the specified year and had a PPS number (Irish donors only) and a tax declaration for that year.
15
The Tax Claim Process record will be updated with the number of contacts successfully processed, and the number of errors.
16
Any records with errors will be at the top of the history records list. Any history records with errors will not be included in the Tax Reclaim file.
It is worthwhile at this stage to check that all the donors you expected to see are included in the tax claim process history list.
17
If you fix any errors before generating the Tax Reclaim file, then you can use the 'Reset Status' button to reset the status of the Tax Claim process, allowing you to rerun it.
18
Note that this will not refresh existing Tax Claim Process History Records, so if you add or remove a donation as part of the fixes, you will need to delete the existing Tax Claim Process History record for the relevant donor before rerunning the process.
Create Tax Reclaim File
19
When you are happy with the history records that have been created, the next step is to create the file by clicking the "Generate CDS File" button.
20
Click "Generate CDS File"
21
Click "Next"
22
Click "Finish"
23
When the file is created, you will see it in the Files section of the page. Click the file to download.
