Create a Test in Blackboard

This quick guide shows step-by-step how to add a test to a Blackboard course, whether starting in an empty course or inserting it among existing content.

Navigate to <https://blackboard.wichita.edu> and then to your course.

In a blank Ultra course, select "Add Content."

In a course with existing content, hover between items where you want the item to appear and select the plus sign.

From the dropdown menu, select "Create."

In the Create panel, scroll down to Assessment and select "Assignment" or "Test."

Enter a descriptive title. This is what the students will see and select to view the item. If you do not enter a title, it will default to "New Assignment" or "New Test" and the date it was created. You can edit the title at any time by selecting the edit pencil next to the item name.
