    Click "**Get started**" and follow the steps to create a free account.

    During the sign-up process, you can click the '**X**' on the pricing screen to continue with a free plan.

    Click "**Continue to Workspace**"

    Click "**Create new**"

    Click this icon for Kapwing AI.

    Enter a prompt in the "**Video topic**" field. You can start with a simple prompt just to get a feel for how Kapwing works. You can also click the "**Try a sample**" button if you're stuck for ideas.\ \ Enter any topic you like, but if you'd like to follow along with this specific example, just enter the prompt "*5 simple ways to get started with no-code*". \ \ We'll pretend in this example that we're producing a social media video to promote a more detailed resource (such as a longer video, guide or article).

    On the rest of this page, select a language, a narration voice and a style for subtitles that will displayed on the video.

    With the free version of Kapwing you can create videos of up to 30 seconds, so keep this option as-is.\ \ Click "**Generate Video**" when you're ready.

    Click the play button on the video editor to watch your AI-generated video!

    If you're familiar with video editing, this video editor should feel familiar, and you'll see that each of your video's elements is displayed as shown below. \ \ If you're experienced with video editing, feel free at this point to experiment with the various editing functions that are available and skip to step 16 when you're ready.\ \ If you're not so familiar with video editing, continue with this guide where you'll tweak the video with some of Kapwing's editing options.\ \ Locate the video track and click anywhere on the first video.

    In the right-hand menu, select "**TRANSITIONS**"

    Select any transition you like from the options that appear.\ \ This will apply the transition to the opening of your video.

    Click the play button on the video editor to see how the transition you've selected has been applied.

    Next you're going to tweak the styling of the subtitles that feature on the video.\ \ Select the text in the video editor. You'll notice that the editing functionality to the left and right of your video has changed. On the left, you're able to edit the subtitle text and timing, on the right you're able to adjust the styling. \ \ Experiment with the styling options, just to get a feel for how the appearance of subtitles can be changed.

    Don't worry if ever you accidentally style something that you don't like, you can always go back a step by clicking this "Undo" button.

    You can also view a version history of your edits by selecting "**VERSIONS**"

    When you're finished editing, click "**Export**"

    Configure the Resolution and Compression Level of your video if you'd like (leaving these as default will be just fine) and click "**Export as MP4**".

    You can also share directly to social media via the "**Share to socials**" button.
