Creating an Event in RamPulse

This guide provides a step-by-step process for creating an event in RamPulse. By following this guide, users will gain the skills to submit an event in RamPulse for review. Once approved your event will post in RamPulse under the Events section. Whether you are a novice or experienced user, this guide enhances your ability to navigate RamPulse effectively.

Using the left navigation bar, open the settings for your organization

Click Events

Click Create Event

Fill in Event Title, select a Theme and write out the details of the event (why should someone attend, who should attend, and the when, where and what will be happening).

Type in another RamPulse organization to add as a co-host, if desired

Select date and times for event

Include a location and, if helpful, add physical address for a map to be included for viewers.

Click Save

Additional or reoccurring dates can be added here

The next four screens will show you the various user types that you can select to view the event. Decide what is best for your event. The **Public** will be anyone who accesses RamPulse's public facing website.\ St

Select **Students & Staff** at RamPulse to limit the viewers to only those with Shepherd University credentials (students, faculty and staff).

Select **Members of all hosting organizations,** if limiting to this group applies

Select **Invited** users only to limit to the smallest group of users (those you choose to invite only).

Select one or more categories. Users will be able to search events by this.

Select one or more perks that an attendee will receive at this event

RSVP Options

The next page will be used if it is necessary for your attendees to RSVP using the system. If your event does not need an RSVP or you have a different location for RSVPs, then select "no one". Either way if you need attendees to RSVP, be sure to include this in the description part of this event request. \ \ Check this box, if you want your group members to be invited.

Click here to limit RSVPs (if you have limited seating, meals, tickets, etc.)

Identify the max number of spots

Check this box, if this event is limited to credentialed users (students and employees) but are allowing them to bring a guest (or more)

Need information for those who RSVP'd? Ask a question at the time the attendee RSVP's to the event.

Feedback Section

On the third page, you can check this box to have a feedback questionnaire sent to attendees (those tracked and logged in the event) at the time the event ends. If you don't want to have feedback or collect it from a different system, then move on to the fourth screen.

Event Image

Tip! Create an image in Canva or another program (size: 1920px x 1080p) for use as advertisement of your event on RamPulse. Then, upload the image. This will show in both RamPulse and Corq.

Locate your image on your desktop

Size your Image

Click 'Crop Image' then click Next

At the end of the form, be sure to select the appropriate drop down menu option next to "This submission will be....." before clicking Submit.
